| Would you like a BugE, but don't want to build it yourself? Have you found that some of the pre-built ones are out of your budget?
I have a proposal for you. I'd like to build a BugE, but I don't need a third electric vehicle in my garage on a permanent basis. I started with an electric-assist velomobile assembled from a parts kit (aluminum sheet, aluminum parts and 1400 pop-rivets!) and very much enjoyed the results. 9500 miles later, it sold on eBay and I'm on my second velomobile, also built from a kit. My wife drives a Xebra EV, and we've recently added a Gizmo EV to the circuit. The Gizmo needed a bit of work, and I've performed some upgrades to the Xebra. The Gizmo is of similar configuration to the BugE, in that it's single-seat, 48v and tadpole trike layout. Here's the proposal. If you want a BugE, you buy the kit and have it shipped to me. I'll build it to the best possible level of quality and provide photographic documentation of the progress on a regular basis. Additional parts necessary to complete the vehicle will also be paid by the owner. I'll supply the labor completely free for the very first person who wants to go for this deal. I have the necessary mechanical skills to produce a quality BugE for you. Any body painting would be done professionally at local rates, or you could have it painted in your area. Shipping of the completed vehicle would also be done at cost, using UShip.com or my local shipper who has a fully enclosed trailer. He brought me the Gizmo from halfway across the continent. Please note that the email address is fred_dot_u and 'dot' is spelled out. You can see the comprehensive detail of the AAW velomobile construction on my web page here.
